CHAP GETS ITS MOMENT ON THE MAIN STAGE

When two distinct fields converge on the same idea, curiosity follows. And when both decide it belongs on a public stage, curiosity becomes momentum.

That’s what is now happening to CHAP.

CHAP launched with a clear proposition: the emerging agent stack needs a third protocol.

Model Context Protocol connects agents to tools. Agent-to-Agent connects agents to each other.

Only CHAP creates a shared, verifiable record of how people and agents work together. And now that proposition is receiving recognition from two very different directions.

Today, Geary Institute For Public Policy publishes ‘Keeping the Human in Command: How Ireland Can Lead on Accountable AI’. The article considers how Ireland could make human oversight - under the EU AI Act - visible, operational and evidenced.

It presents CHAP as a practical way to record where a person reviewed, approved, intervened or took responsibility.

Then, in September, our own Dr Arsalan Shahid will present CHAP at AGNTCon + MCPCon Europe in Amsterdam organised by the The Linux Foundation and the Agentic AI Foundation.

His talk has been selected for a main-track session among the developers, researchers and standards leaders building the agent stack.

So as policy creates the obligation, engineering can make the human-agent relationship observable.

Developed by Brightbeam and currently in public draft, CHAP is open source for anyone to test, challenge and build on. You can have it up and running in 15 minutes.
