GENERATIVE AI FOR MEDTECH PLAYBOOK LAUNCH: DUBLIN, 7 OCTOBER

You know the information is there somewhere. But you’d just quite like to get on with the job.
That’s a recurring frustration across Medtech teams in Ireland. Quality evidence spread across systems and practical knowledge that’s hard to reach when the right colleague is off shift.
Tomorrow, we’re launching ‘Generative AI for Medtech: The 2027 Playbook’ with Irish Medtech Skillnet, Irish Medtech and Ibec.
It draws on the experience of professionals from six Medtech companies, with 92 AI use cases assessed and 28 explored in depth.
And finding information is just a starting point. The playbook explores planning production, assessing how regulatory changes affect procedures, analysing how devices perform in clinical use, and more. The deep dives cover the data, validation and controls each application needs, so experts can understand and challenge the outputs they’re being asked to rely on.
Our Shane O. will introduce the playbook, and Brian Hanly will chair a discussion with colleagues from West Pharma, Alcon, Meissner and Medtronic about what it takes to make this work in practice.
If any of that sounds familiar, do join us. You might already have your first use case in mind.
Wednesday 7 October, 10:30am–1pm
Ibec, 84/86 Baggot Street, Dublin
